Rhonda Guzman

MA, OTR/L, CDP

Founder, Dementia Care Consultant and Occupational Therapist

With almost three decades of professional experience dedicated to the care of seniors, nothing could have prepared me better than the role of becoming a caregiver to my own mother who has dementia.

I understood that making decisions about my mother's care with seven siblings brings additional challenges. This experience has shown me first-hand how difficult it can be when there are multiple family members and how helpful education, communication and coordination can be for everyone involved.

I learned that it is impossible to do it alone and that it truly takes a village and a coordinated effort to tackle all the challenges that come with this disease.

I believe the best way to make a true impact in the lives of my families is to approach care in a personalized manner, understand each unique situation, and tailor support with respect and empathy.  I have made the pledge to use my knowledge and skills to improve outcomes for every family and individual I touch.

I have dedicated my entire professional career to the advocacy and care of our aging population. While I have filled many rewarding leadership and clinical roles in high quality, reputable healthcare and senior living organizations, I believe the best way to make a true impact in the lives of our elders is to connect on a personal level, understand each unique situation and tailor care and support with respect and empathy.
